killer mike and ice cube release controversial track
This year’s Fourth of July celebration will include a bit of revolution, courtesy of a new video from Atlanta rapper Killer Mike.
The clip, titled “Pressure,“ debuts today (July 4) and features West Coast rap icon Ice Cube.
The video for the politically-charged track will offer an honest and discouraging view on the current state of affairs in America.
For Killer Mike, "Pressure" provided a way for the rapper to tap into "a frustration that’s bubbling in all parts of this country."
"You can only get upset for so long before you stop holding back. So I let loose and said some s**t that no other rapper has the balls to say," Killer Mike told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “We as black people should not be just blaming whites, but making black politicians, social and religious leaders take responsibility and accountability for selling out their community."
Killer Mike touches on topics ranging from "the police department being the state sanctioned killers of blacks" to "the Sean Bell aftermath," to "the police killing of a 92-year old grandmother in Atlanta," on "Pressure."
Produced by The Bizness, "Pressure" is one of the songs featured on Killer Mike’s forthcoming album I Pledge Allegiance To The Grind II.
The album, which features appearances from Shawty Lo, 8ball and MJG and Chamillionnaire, is set to hit stores on Tuesday (July 8).

Yung Berg is no rookie. Within a years time the Chicago rapper has scored two straight top 10 singles on Billboard Hot 100. Now, off the heels of his successful Almost Famous EP, Berg is ready to build on his success with the release of his debut studio album, Look What You Made Me. SOHH caught up with the young boss as he lays out his plans for a corporate takeover and reveals 50 Cent’s words of wisdom.
"[50 Cent] gave me the best advice," Yung Berg said. "He told me to stay consistent and as long as I continue to be able to put out hit records, n*ggas ain’t going to be able to tell me sh*t."
His first major hit came from his debut EP in 2007, which was released without his blessings.
"The EP is crazy because I really didn’t agree to doing an EP, I have my own label deal and I signed up to do an album deal," says the 22 year-old. "But I guess 'Sexy Lady' was so successful on the charts that we had to put something out there for the consumer to have."
"We did a 100,000 EP’s, sold a million downloads for 'Sexy Lady' so I guess it showed me what I needed to do to sell a product," Berg continued, "It just set me up and [showed me] how I needed to be on the road, what it was going to be, how my body was going to feel, because I don’t even have a free day on my schedule at all for the next two months."
His debut album Look What You Made Me, is slated for release this August and features appearances by Eve, Twista, Trey Songz, Amerie and Collie Buddz. At the same time , Berg is readying the 2009 release of his first artist, the young R&B songbird Casha.
"Like I said, I don’t know too many artists doing it like how I’m doing it right now," he said. "I'm 22 years-old, got my own label, there’s a million women screaming when I show up to perform. I've been mad successful and blessed, so I’m continue to strive and get better and continue to do what I’m doing right now."

New BBC Documentary Tracks 11-Year-Old Jordan Fan
Last year, it was reported that Sasha Bennington is so obsessed with UK "model"/celebrity Jordan (real name: Katie Price) that she bleaches her hair, sports extensions, plucks her eyebrows, has acrylic nails, gets spray tans and wears Jordan-esque makeup. Also? Sasha is 11 years old.
This July, BBC will air a new documentary featuring the pint-sized Jordan fan and her mother as they prepare for and compete in an American beauty pageant in Texas.
"People can say what they want. I know there is nothing bad about what I'm doing. I'm just helping my daughter make something of her life. Any good mum would do the same," says Sasha's mother.
Ask Sasha how she sees herself and she replies: 'Blonde, pretty, dumb - I don't need brains.' Her mum laughs her head off at this, proud that the child is so like her.

He’s not this lunatic that wants to work 17, 18 hours a day. You know those sort of guys -- shouting and screaming at people. Kelly Clarkson's 4th of July
Kelly Clarkson celebrates the 4th of July by grabbing lunch with two of her close girlfriends (Jill Pickering & Kate Rapier) on Friday.
The 26-year-old original American Idol is currently recording her fourth studio album with many collaborators including Sam Watters, Louis Biancaniello and Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic (”Apologize”, “Stop and Stare”). Sam and Louis also wrote and produced the song “Anytime”, which appeared on Kelly’s debut album Thankful in 2003.

Nicole Celebrates Her Fourth Of July
Nicole Richie was spotted on a beach in Malibu, CA on Friday (July 4), the new mum of, Harlow Winter, left her daughter and boyfriend Joel Madden so she could spend a couple of hours with her friends. Nicole is currently working on her guest role for NBC’s Chuck and sources tell People that Nicole is doing a good job. Nicole plays Heather Chandler, who is Agent Sarah Walker (played by Yvonne Strahovski)’s high school nemesis. Sarah must go back to high school for her 10 year reunion and must face seeing Richie’s character. A source told the magazine, “It was fantastic, She was friendly. Everybody loved her. She has a great fight scene, between takes and training for their fight scene, they were giving each other high-fives.” Richie’s episode will air in mid-October.

"Summit Entertainment is looking to make a real splash this year with their low budget adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. The teaser trailer for the film certainly looks low budget and I can't help but wonder if the first film exceeds the rumored $30-35 million budget if Summit will pony up a little more money for the sequel, New Moon.
Shock Til You Drop is reporting new rumors that plans to move forward with New Moon may indeed be real with plans to adapt it for release in December '09.
The site points out earlier speculation by producer Wyck Godfrey in which he said, "The goal is, we've got the [sequel] script ready to go and come December we want to shoot it for about the same time - for the weather and stuff we don't want to be in the heat of the winter. Obviously, you know the next book and know we can go out into the sun a little bit more. Hopefully, we'll have it ready to go and ready to start prepping for the beginning of next year."
"New Moon" continues the modern day love story between a vampire, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), and a human, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). Twilight is set for theaters on December 12."

Here’s Billboard’s review of dear RiRi’s latest “Disturbia” single: “Rihanna has scored 10 top 40 hits since her career launched in 2005. More staggering, the 20-year-old has four songs riding the Pop 100: top two ‘Take a Bow,’ Maroon 5 duet ‘If I Never See Your Face Again’ just entering the top 40, ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ inside the top 40 after 30 weeks—and now ‘Disturbia.’ It’s safe to say that Rihanna is the premier artist of the second half of the decade, with no signs of wear and tear.
